Pokémon Black and White have reached a combined accumulated total of 3,386,358 copies sold in Japan. The games' massive popularity helped the Nintendo DSi and the DSi LL/XL to take over half of the Japanese console market for the second week in a row.

Pokémon Black and White were released in Japan on September 18, and have become the fastest pre-selling Nintendo DS games, and the fastest selling games ever within the first two days of release.
