Remakes for Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, called Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire have been announced. They will be released in November of 2014 worldwide.
It is unknown if these games will be released on the same day for a worldwide release, nor is the exact date that they will be released known at this time. They will be available for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS systems.
