The show featured a segment on the new PokéWood side game, including battle-style segments. Gym Leader {{bp|Brycen}} appears in the movies in PokéWood as a character called {{tt|Hachiku|Brycen}}man.
One of the trailers featured the return of {{bp|Ghetsis}}, {{bp|Skyla}} in the {{bp|Mistralton Gym}} and a scene involving {{p|Reshiram}}/{{p|Zekrom}} and {{p|Kyurem}}.


One of the trailers features the return of {{bp|Skyla}} in the {{bp|Mistralton Gym}} wherein players are literally blown away. {{bp|Ghetsis}} also returns, as shown in a scene involving him with {{p|Kyurem}} and {{bp|N}} with {{p|Reshiram}}/{{p|Zekrom}}, depending on the game. The other trailer features a brief view of {{bp|Nimbasa City}}, as well as other Pokémon players have access to in the games. These include {{p|Emolga}}, {{p|Buneary}}, and {{p|Lapras}}, among others.
