Gameplay of Black 2 featuring the female player character interacting with another character

On April 15, 2012 Japan time, Junichi Masuda and Takao Unno, who will be directing the new games, made a special appearance on Pokémon Smash. With them they brought a copy of Pokémon Black 2 Version which the hosts of Smash were allowed to premiere to the audience. The gameplay featured the intro video to the game, as well as the female trainer obtaining her first Pokémon and battling against the rival trainer. The gameplay also revealed new animations for Pokémon, as well as the new environments. Also featured on Smash was a battle featuring Black Kyurem against Reshiram.

They then announced the three new characters, Akuroma, Homika, and Shizui. Alongside this news was a short trailer featuring Homika's debut in the anime this June, where she is shown to own a Koffing.

After the guests returned backstage, host Shoko Nakagawa made a personal announcement; she will be voicing the title Pokémon, Keldeo, in the upcoming fifteenth film.

They also featured a late reveal of Meloetta's Pirouette Forme, a few days after she was officially revealed on Oha Suta.
