The anime page located inside the Nintendo Zone

On February 6, 2012, Nintendo of America included a section dedicated to Pokémon into their Nintendo Zone application on the Nintendo 3DS. Players in the United States and Canada can go to a specific Wi-Fi hotspot known simply as a "Nintendo Zone" and then tap the Nintendo Zone icon on their menu screen to open the application. Once open, players will be able to view news and announcements for Pokémon relating to the games, anime, Trading Card Game, and general news. The news covers major events from all areas of the franchise, such as game events, new TCG sets, new game releases, etc. The game section offers more in-depth information on the video games, including screenshots of upcoming or new games, as well as trailers, summaries, and ongoing or upcoming events. The TCG section includes information on upcoming sets, and powerful cards within that set. It is currently focused on the Next Destinies set and features Kyurem-EX and Mewtwo-EX. The anime section features full length episodes players may watch for free on their 3DS. This feature currently airs In the Shadow of Zekrom through to The Battle Club and Tepig's Choice!.

The Nintendo Zone also includes gaming demos for other Nintendo games, trailers, and news.
