In Pokémon.com's regular mailbag, it was said that there are currently "no plans to make My Pokémon Ranch compatible with Pokémon Platinum Version". The update was released in Japan on November 5, 2008. No official announcement had been made by Nintendo USA regarding the matter, and some do not consider this an "official announcement".
