In Pokémon.com's regular mailbag, it was said that there are currently "no plans to make My Pokémon Ranch compatible with Pokémon Platinum Version". The update was released in Japan on November 5, 2008. No official announcement had been made by Nintendo USA regarding the matter, and some do not consider this an "official announcement". The upgrade allowed the new forms for Giratina, Shaymin, and Rotom, as well as several new features. However, an announcement was to be made if there was a change, according to the article.
