Ryan Reynolds, most famous for his role as Deadpool in last year's winter blockbuster of the same title, has been cast as the title role as Pikachu in the upcoming Detective Pikachu, Bulbanews has learned.

The report says that, in addition to providing voice talents, Reynolds will also portray the character via motion capture.
