The 188th episode of the Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl anime series, 「決着ライバルバトル！サトシ対シンジ！！」 Conclusion of Rival Battle! Satoshi vs Shinji!!, is set to air on Aug. 19, 2010. The episode will conclude the clash between the protagonist, Satoshi, and his current rival, Shinji. This battle is a part of the Suzuran Conference and will span a total of three episodes.
For this battle, these two Trainers have made necessary changes to their teams. While Satoshi has mainly used Pokémon he caught in previous regions, such as Magmarashi and Donfan, in his earlier battles, it appears he will be using the Pokémon he traveled with in Shin'ō, such as Buoysel and the returning Glion, for his battle against Shinji. On the other hand, Shinji will be using several of his Pokémon Satoshi had never battled before, such as Bossgodora and Toritodon.
