Several retailers have shipped Platinum early, and the inserts included have revealed the silhouettes to be alternate forms of Rotom. These forms are obtained by using the Secret Key item. Rotom will transform into one of five forms depending on where the player uses the item.

Frost Rotom:

• Resembles a refrigerator.
• Can learn the move Blizzard.

Washing Rotom (Official name unknown):

• Resembles a washing machine.
• Can use the move Hydro Pump.

Fan Rotom (Official name unknown):

• Resembles a fan.
• Can use the move Air Slash.

Cut Rotom:

• Resembles a lawnmower.
• Can learn the move Leaf Storm.

Oven Rotom (Official name unknown):

• Resembles an oven.
• Can learn the move Overheat.
