Pokémon Sun and Moon will be released in Japan, North America, Australia and South Korea on November 18, 2016. They will be released in Europe on November 23, 2016.
The new starter Pokémon are Rowlet, Litten, and Poppli.
- Rowlet is a Grass/Flying-type and knows the new move Leafage. It resembles an owl. It has the Ability Overgrow.
- Litten is a Fire-type and knows the move Ember. It resembles a cat. It has the Ability Blaze.
- Popplio a Water-type and knows the move Water Gun. It resembles a seal. It has the Ability Torrent.
The games are set in the Alola region. It appears to be based on Hawaii.
The character that gives the player their starter Pokémon is named Hala. Additionally, a character named Kukui also appears in the games.
