Japan, the birthplace of the Pokémon games, dominated the 2010 Pokémon World Trading Card Game and Video Game Championships on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort Hotel. Japanese contestants won three out of the five divisions contested last weekend.

In the Juniors Division, Last Chance Qualifier Yuka Furusawa from Japan defeated American Juan Pablos Arenas in the championship match. The Seniors Division final saw Canadian National Champion Jacob Lesage defeat an American Last Chance Qualifier, Mychael Bryan, and another Japanese player, Yuta Komatsuda defeat American Michael Pramawat, won the Masters Division championship. Japan, the birthplace of the Pokémon games, dominated the 2010 Pokémon World Trading Card Game and Video Game Championships on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort Hotel. Japanese contestants won three out of the five divisions contested last weekend.
