Japan, the birthplace of the Pokemon games, dominated the 2010 Pokemon World Trading Card Game and Video Game Championships on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Hilton Waikoloa Village Resort Hotel.

TCG finals

In the Juniors Division, Last Chance Qualifier player Yuka Furusawa from Japan defeated American Juan Pablos Arenas in the championship match in two straight games. The Seniors Division final saw Canadian National Champion Jacob Lesage defeat an American Last Chance Qualifier player, Mychael Bryan 2-1. Another Japanese player, Yuta Komatsuda defeated American Michael Pramawat to win the Masters Division championship 2-1.

TCG Junior Division

  • Champion - Yuka Furusawa (JPN)
  • 2nd place - Juan Pablos Arenas (USA)
  • 3rd place - Simon Taylor (USA)
  • 4th place - Thomas Harle (FRA)

TCG Senior Division

  • Champion - Jacob Lesage (CAN)
  • 2nd place - Mychal Bryan (USA)
  • 3rd place - Ann-Marie Thompson (USA)
  • 4th place - Hiroki Yano (JPN)

TCG Masters Division

  • Champion - Yuta Komatsuda (JPN)
  • 2nd place - Michael Pramawat (USA)
  • 3rd place - Frank Diaz (USA)
  • 4th place - Miguel Garcia (CHL)

Video Game finals

In the Video Game finals, Shoto Yamamoto defeated Santa Ito in the Junior Division, and American Ray Rizzo won the Senior Division championship over Japan's Yasuki Tochigo.

VG Junior Division

VG Senior Division

  • Champion - Ray Rizzo (USA)
