The Pokémon Company released information about Jump Festa on their website today, confirming that they will be making a surprise announcement, as reported by Weekly Jump magazine late November. They also stated they will deliver the latest "in Pokémon games and goodies," possibly implying a game announcement at the event.

The announcement also advertised the pre-order for Pokémon Battle Chess. It has been said that Pokémon Battle Chess and PokéPark 2: Beyond the World are going to be showcased at the event.

In September, The Pokémon Company revealed that it would be attending Jump Festa for the first time. Jump Festa is an annual event that is a common platform for the announcement of new anime, manga, movies, and video games. It is hosted by Shuiesha, a major publisher in Japan. Shogakukan, the founder of Shuiesha, is known for various Pokémon manga, such as Pokémon Adventures.
