Errors

Togepi is misspelled and Misty is erroneously called "Kasumi". - unsigned comment from Redstar (talkcontribs)

Neither are errors. This is an article about Japanese news, so names & titles are the Japanese versions. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 04:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
If they were the "Japanese" versions, then they'd be in Japanese script. I seriously doubt Togepi is spelled "Togepy". Redstar 09:32, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Seriously, this is annoying. Where else is Togepi spelled in this way? "py" is NEVER EVER used in Japanese Romanization. Deus ex machina 18:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
You guys fail so hard. The official trademarks for the Pokémon names in rōmaji are as they are here. How many times do we have to point that out. It's not "Kurabo", it's "Crab" for Krabby. Togepi's Japanese name used internally by Nintendo and Game Freak in filenames and such is Togepy. Period. End of story.
And it's News's style to use the local language's names for Pokémon and other characters in stories. Don't go assuming we're stupid. We know our stuff, have you been paying attention to the fact that on Bulba the romanized names of Pokémon go into the infobox under the parameter tmname? Guess what the tm stands for! Where are these supposed filenames?
And I don't know... Technical Machine? Redstar 02:20, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Please, tell me that "シェイミ" romanizes as "Shaymin". There's no "N" there at all. Going by strict romanization, like Serebii does, it'd be Sheimi. But right in the web address, it's SHAYMIN. And why would "tm" stand for Technical Machine in the Pokémon infobox? Try TRADEMARK. TTEchidna 05:25, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
