I'm not saying Sapusaur isn't a legit PokéGod, just that this particular image isn't the original. Every detail of the image, from the design and Dex entry to the specific height and weight, perfectly match Mega Venusaur. It's even got Venusaur's normal Dex number just with a star next to it, rather than some number past 150 as was the norm. This seems a lot like it was just somebody's attempt at mimicking a PokéGod-type entry using a currently-known Pokémon combined with an old PokéGod name. While I can find every other image easily enough from Pokémon Factory archives, I can't locate that particular image, though I can find other Venusaur "evolutions". But if you truly believe this is an original image from back then rather than a modern imitation of the concept, I guess I'll drop it. Well, I don't want false information in my articles, and if you belive so much that thisis a farce, I will do some research and try to find the image's origin.  I will get back to you with what I find, how does that sound?

April Fool's Day

That April Fool's Day article of ours was a spoof. It was made in 2011 and we were only pretending it was 1998. :P Thought you ought to know :P --ZestyCactus 01:45, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Sapusaur?

The "Sapusaur" image is clearly a Gen I-style Mega Venusaur, which the Dex entry supports. The caption suggests this was one of the PokéGods people made up when this was first spreading when that obviously isn't the case. Shouldn't that be removed, or at least point out that it's a more recent copying of the meme? Hyper Turtwig (talk) 11:31, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

I do not blame you for your doubt, but Sapusaur was a legitimate PokéGod many years prior to X and Y's release. I got the PokeDex entry from Pokemon Factory, and it is one of the original batch of PokeGods. The Bulbapedia entry on PokeGods had Sapusaur listed years before X and Y were even thought up by Game Freak. So it is legitimate. Thanks for your concern! ShinyLinoone 12:15, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Hyper Turtwig (talk) 12:54, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
