The wait is over! After a notice went up on Pokémon.com four days ago, fans have been eagerly awaiting the English names for the three starter Pokémon of Pokémon Black and White. Pokémon.com has just updated with the information.

The Grass-type Tsutarja will be known as Snivy. The Fire-type Pokabu will be known as Tepig. The Water-type Mijumaru will be known as Oshawott.

The Isshu region is also being renamed and will be known in English as Unova. This is the first major renaming for a Pokémon region.

Black and White will be available in English in Spring 2011.
