Direct, the official site of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, as well as its YouTube channel, has revealed that in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U Charizard will return as a standalone veteran fighter, being previously playable in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as part of the Pokémon Trainer roster, and the Generation VI Pokémon, Greninja, will be a playable character as well.
