The official Japanese Pokemon Web site has announced two events for Japanese players of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver and Template:V3 via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The first will be the legendary Mew, only knowning the move Pound. This Mew will be at level 5 and holds a Premier Ribbon, a special event ribbon. The event will take place Nov. 11 to Nov. 23, 2009, for players of HeartGold and SoulSilver, and Jan. 29 to Feb. 11, 2010, for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum players.

Another upcoming event is the Enigma Crystal for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, which grants access to either Latias or Latios, depending on which version the item is downloaded to. This rare key item will be distributed Nov. 27, 2009, to Jan. 11, 2010.
