The newly-dubbed Bonsly

Pokemon-Games.com revealed this week the English name of Usohachi, the pre-evolved form of Sudowoodo, set to appear in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario. "Bonsly" is reminiscent of bonsai, the art of growing small trees in pots, and the name appears the fit the Pokémon's appearance.

Also revealed was Bonsly's purpose in Pokémon XD - a lost Pokémon that must be returned to its trainer.

Reactions from Pokémon fans seemed to be equally split between disappointment and apathy. However, almost all could agree that the official name was better than the fan-speculated name of "Seedoweedo."

One fan from the Bulbagarden forums, Dratini927, had this to say: "It's not super bad... It's not the worst one in the world." Damian Silverblade agreed, "Yeah, it kind of grows on you."
