Pokemon-Games.com revealed this week the English name of Usohachi, the pre-evolution of Sudowoodo, set to appear in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Mew and the Wave-Guiding Hero: Lucario. "Bonsly" is reminiscent of bonsai, the art of growing small trees in pots, and the name appears the fit the Pokémon's appearance.
Also revealed was Bonsly's purpose in Pokémon XD- a lost Pokémon that must be returned to its trainer.
