2016 International Challenge - June logo

The 2016 International Challenge - June Wi-Fi tournament has been announced. All participants will receive 2,000 Poké Miles. Players may register between midnight UTC on June 16 and 11:59 p.m. UTC on June 23. The competition will run from midnight UTC on June 24 until 11:59 p.m. UTC on June 26. There will be 50,000 spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players born in 2001 or later will be in the Junior/Senior Division. Players born in 2000 or earlier will be in the Master Division. The rankings will be announced some time in July.

Players will use the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games. This Double Battles tournament will use the VGC 2016 rules. Players may only use a maximum of two of the following Pokémon - Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde. Players may not use any of the Mythical Pokémon. Pokémon that were transferred from the Generation V games cannot be used.

All Pokémon above level 50 will be automatically set to level 50 for this competition. Each battle will last a maximum of 15 minutes. Players will have 90 seconds to choose which four Pokémon they will use in each match and 45 seconds to decide what move will be used or switching the Pokémon out. Players may battle 15 times per day, for a maximum of 45. Players that make the top 256 in each division will receive Championship Points.
