The first games for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in South Korea have been released, all being NES and Game Boy games in English. So far, no Pokémon games have been announced for release on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in South Korea.

Prior to this, it was only available for Japanese region, American region, and PAL region Nintendo 3DS systems. The Virtual Console was first available for Nintendo 3DS on June 6, 2011.

The NES games Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Metroid are each available for ₩5000. The Game Boy games Super Mario Land, Donkey Kong, and Kirby's Dream Land are each available for ₩4000. Super Mario Bros. 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX will also be released in the future.
