2011 Autumn Friendly

Yesterday, the official Pokémon website announced 2011 Autumn Friendly, a Wi-Fi tournament for players of non-Japanese and non-Korean Pokémon Black and White games.

In order to participate, players need a Pokémon Trainer Club account and access to the Global Battle Union section of the Pokémon Global Link website. Signups will be from Oct. 12 to 19, with 10,000 spaces only available. The actual tournament will take place over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from Oct. 20 to 24.

The rules for this tournament will be that of the 2011 Video Game Championships. Using the standard VGC Double-Flat Battle rules, players may only use the only eligible Pokémon—those found in the Unova Pokédex, with the exception of Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect.
