Pokémon GO will be introducing support for account linkage with Facebook. Furthermore, Pokémon GO will be making their log-in process simpler with the Facebook linkage making progress easier to save across devices.
This change will allow Trainer profiles to link to Facebook and Google accounts and these accounts can be used to access Pokémon GO. To link a Trainer profile to a Google or Facebook account, a player must access the Settings menu and then select Facebook or Google.
Account linking allows a player who has registered for Pokémon GO using a Google Account, that they may not be able to access in the future, to continue playing GO. By linking a Facebook account, a player can continue to make progress.
This feature will only be available to players aged 13 and over.
