New footage of the Pokémon X and Y games was shown on Pokémon Smash. The animation for fishing and surfing were revealed. The Pokémon X and Y games have a new Fisherman that looks different from the previous games. When the fishing rod is cast while fishing, the new animation shows a much larger ball at the end of the rod. The surfing animation is very similar to what it was in the Generation V games. When picking up an item, the player places the item directly in the pocket of the Bag. This is different from the previous games, where it was automatically placed in the Bag.

The Pokémon X and Y animations of Octazooka and Signal Beam were shown. Honedge can use Aerial Ace, which is also learned by Talonflame and Chespin. Honedge can also learn Shadow Sneak.
