In 2018, Pokémon Day returns on February, 27th. The celebrations announced are as follows:

• New Snapchat Lenses

For a limited time, there are new Snapchat Lenses featuring the original starter Pokémon, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle from the Kanto region.

• Pokémon Center

Pokémon Centers will be releasing a brand new line of larger scale figurines. Charizard is featured as the first XD figurines, and the figurine shows Charizard use Blast Burn.

The Pokémon Center is joining in on the Legendary Year by featuring Legendary Pokémon Pins. Fans can order the new Dialga and Palkia pins, with a set of pins being released each month through till November while supplies last. It can be shipped to US addresses.

• Animation

The latest animated Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, will be available on Pokémon TV for the first time for free. It will be available to view on the app, available for iOS and Android, and on Pokemon.com/TV for a week.

• Pokémon GO

When out playing Pokémon GO, trainers will be able to catch a special Pikachu wearing a festive striped purple hat. This Pikachu will know the move Present and will give players triple Stardust when caught. This event will last until Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. PST.

• Social Media

In addition to the Snapchat lenses, fans can use the hashtag, #PokemonDay.
