An announcement on April 8th revealed that the theme song for the new Pokémon movie, Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark, will be performed by jazz fusion duo Sukima Switch. The song, entitled "Ice Cream Syndrome," is a medium-tempo love song, composed as per director Kunihiko Yuyama's request to make it "a fresh-sounding song."
The performing duo have expressed their hope that, despite the mournful lyrics, parents and children can enjoy the song together.
