Similar to the Japanese event last year, a Wi-Fi event to download Mew has been announced for North American and PAL games. Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver are required to download the creature from October 15 through October 30, 2010.

Also similar to the Japanese event, the distribution is being publicized as a commeration for Pokémon Gold and Silver's ten-year anniversary. Mew will be at Level 5, knowing only Pound, is caught in a Cherish Ball and has a Premier Ribbon.

As with all Wi-Fi events, the player must have less than three Wonder Cards on their game to download Mew.
