After 16 years, the anime will move from YTV to Teletoon

|
After nearly a 16 year run, Pokémon has finally come to an end on YTV. Corus Entertainment, the owners of YTV, have shifted all Pokémon anime over to YTV's sister station, Teletoon. Corus Entertainment had attained full ownership of Teletoon in 2014 and the stations began shifting programs between each other, including the movement of Pokémon from YTV to Teletoon on September 2, 2014.
YTV has aired the Pokémon anime since its Canadian debut back on September 7, 1998 with the airing of Pokémon - I Choose You!. Pokémon was YTV's longest running television show and was very well received by YTV's viewers. It is currently unknown at this time if YTV will resume airing the anime in the future or not.
