*This article resonated with me as well, especially as a fellow Pokemon vet from ye olde Red and Blue days. While there will always be some oddities among the new generations (lol, which generation doesn't have any?), there are also always many that shine and make great additions to one's fighting style. And even if they don't become team staples, there are still many that will kick butt. Bring on the new pokemon! I can't wait! Honestly, people hat ANYTHING new, even without giving it a chance. I'm just as excited about this game since Gold/Silver/Crystal. I love ALL the games (Gen III being my least favorite) Nintendo has released and Musharna, Shimama, Tsutarja, and Wargle are my favorites, though the others, such as the hated Mijumaru, are great as well. Honestly, if the new games were the same as the original, the games would get old quickly and the series will die. If it ended like that they'd STILL complain - asking for new games. Almost all fanatics are never happy with anything new... - [[User:050294|050294]] 04:46, 21 July 2010 (UTC) |

Great article!
Thank you! Something which I find funny is people complaining about Gear. So, Gear sucks but Voltorb is awesome? Talk about rose coloured glasses
I admit, I will sometimes hate on some new designs (The sea otter really shocked me), but I get used to the ones I dislike, just like I have every generation Shadowater 21:13, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
- I also enjoyed the read. the love of johto pokemon wasn't universal, to this day I really dislike the generation 2, and I feel gen 4 had the best additions so far. the newest generation isn't poorly designed per se, but I feel they don't really look like pokemon.
