Anime Los Angeles, a convention to be held Jan. 2-4 at the LAX Marriott, will host a Pokémon battling tournament from 2-6 p.m. Jan. 2.
The six-vs.-six tournament, organized by Compy Franko, a convention gaming volunteer, will be split into four divisions: Level 50, Level 100, Open Level and Auto Level 50. All divisions will play using Pokémon Diamond and Pearl with the exception of Auto Level 50, which will play using Pokémon Battle Revolution. The winners of each division will eventually compete in Auto Level 50 in Battle Revolution. There will be a prize of some sort, but it has not yet been announced.
