Volume 28 of the manga Pokémon Special (ポケットモンスターSPECIAL) has been announced, with a tentative release date of December 25, 2007. The book is expected to bring the Battle Frontier arc up to the most recent episode, which was published in Pokémon Wonderland. The ISBN-13 of the book is 9784091404565 and the book will retail for ¥460.

Pokémon Special is serialised in the Shogakukan Shōgaku-4-nensei, Shōgaku-5-nensei and Shōgaku-6-nensei magazines. The December issue of these magazines was released on November 2.
