It has been reported that Chuang Yi, the manga publisher based in Singapore, are ending their manga business and have gone into voluntary liquidation. Suspicions of the company folding had been circulating online as early as 2012, when their website and Facebook page stopped being updated. For a limited time, however, a handful of new volumes was still being published. These new volumes gradually slowed down to a halt and the company is now registered with Singapore's government as being currently in liquidation. Chuang Yi is best known among Pokémon fans for their publication of the popular Pokémon Adventures series, as well as several series which were not licensed by VIZ Media, such as Pokémon Pocket Monsters, Phantom Thief Pokémon 7 and Ash and Pikachu. Their last Pokémon title was Pokémon Adventures volume 41, released in February 2013.

Founded in 1990, Chuang Yi published manga in English and Chinese in several countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, including Singapore, India, Malaysia and the Philippines. Distribution of their titles to Australia and New Zealand was handled by Madman Entertainment, which have announced that they will begin distributing VIZ Media's translations of some of their titles as the stock of Chuang Yi volumes continues to be depleted.
