According to reports by Famitsu.com and ITmedia +D Games, the president of The Pokémon Company, Tsunekazu Ishihara, today made the first official statement on a European release date for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. After mentioning the strong sales of Diamond/Pearl in Japan and that they were released in North America in April, he stated that the games will be released in Europe in July 2007.

He held his speech at a press event for the tenth Pokémon movie, Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai, and the distribution of Darkrai at Japanese theatres. Shoko Nakagawa was at the event aswell, showcasing the download procedure of Darkrai.
