After almost 10 years since its Nintendo 64 release, Super Smash Bros. will be available for download on the Japanese Wii Virtual Console for 1,200 Wii Points beginning in January. It will be the third Virtual Console game to be released that features Pokémon characters, the other two being Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Puzzle League, the latter of which was not released in Japan.

The game not only features famous Nintendo characters such as Mario and Kirby, but it also includes playable Pokémon — Pikachu and Jigglypuff. The game features Poké Balls as one of many usable items which may change the flow of a battle with a random Pokémon.

It is still unknown when this Virtual Console title will arrive in the rest of the continents.
