The official Japanese Pokemon Web site has announced two events for Japanese players of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver versions via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The first will be the legendary Mew, only knowing the move Pound. This Mew will be at level 5 and hold a Premier Ribbon, a special event ribbon. The event will take place Nov. 11 to Nov. 23, 2009, for players of HeartGold and SoulSilver, and Jan. 29 to Feb. 11, 2010, for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum players.

Another upcoming event is the Mysterious Crystal for HeartGold and SoulSilver, which grants access to either Latias or Latios, depending on which version the item is downloaded to. This rare key item will be distributed Nov. 27, 2009, to Jan. 11, 2010.
