Talk:Theoretically speaking...
Mew is a Psychic type, not a Normal type... Kidburla 22:04, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- It is has officially said that Isshu is nowhere near the other regions. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 22:05, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- 1) FAIL.
- 2) People think that's a mistranslation... IDK. They're weird.--immewnitythemew 22:07, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- I can say that it's most certainly not a mistranslation; however, the English wording has been made more specific than the Japanese wording. To elaborate: the Japanese text says that it is "far away from Kanto and Johto" - other regions are not mentioned, however the "and" that is used implies that there are other items in the list that have not been included. It's like an implied "et cetera." Which is why I (and I guess other people, idk I haven't looked at other translations of the quote) translated it as "the other regions." 梅子❄❅ 22:32, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
I like the idea of a 'Light' type. Perhaps some older Pokémon could be given it as a second type. e.g. the Togepi After all, Togetic evolves with a 'Shiny' stone... even if it is already part flying type.
- 1) I don't think it's a mistranslation. I'm just saying what others believe.

- I disagree, Dark type is a misnomer. They fight with underhanded tactics and stuff, and so are the counterpart of the fighting type, but are not the embodiment of "dark energy".Thelieisacake 22:37, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
I've been thinking about a few of these before I read this
Nice to know people think how I do ^^--Darknesslover5000 00:08, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Light Type?
I like the idea of a light type. I've hoped for one since the original gold/silver... But I don't think it's happening. Psychic is the equivalent of a "light" type, as evidenced in the Eeveelution Espeon. Also, additional types is a major change that the creators will hesitate to make this late in the series. Steel and Dark were previously introduced in Gen. II, but that was a unique transition time- Most of the major obvious changes we think about from the originals to the present happened in gold and silver. Certainly, changes have been made in the third and fourth generations, and will continue to be made, but in my opinion, nothing on the scale of another type. The largest change I could possibly imagine in the future would be the ability for Pokémon to hold two items at once, and that only because of the recent rising importance of held items. So, sad to say, I do not see a light type in the future.
