To commemorate the release of Pokémon Ranger: Locus of Light on March 6, three TV anime specials have been announced to air.

In the normal anime continuum, the male protagonist of the game, Natsuya, is set to appear in DP169 on March 18. During the episode, Satoshi and his friends will assist in the capture of a Heatran.

Two additional side story episodes are scheduled to air on Pokémon Sunday on Feb. 28 and March 7. The episodes are to follow their own original storyline separate from the main anime.
