The 2010 McDonald's Pokémon Calendar in Japan sold 1,476,442 units during the year since its release on Nov. 6, 2009, making the item the most sold calendar in a period of one year. Guiness World Records has acknowledged this achievement, with a celebration held in a Tokyo McDonald's.

The yearly calendar has been sold since 2006, where that year's calendar sold about one million copies. The 2011 issue is currently being sold in limited supply from participating Japanese McDonald's locations.
