The third Pokémon Mystery Dungeon anime special, '{{bp|Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness|Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness', is set to air on Cartoon Network on October 9, 2009. Before the special premieres, the previous two Mystery Dungeon-based features will air.

This special episode of the Pokémon anime aired in Japan on April 12, 2009. The story continues from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness. The special is based on the story of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky. Covering the end of the main game story, the special follows the Poképals and Grovyle as they do battle with Dusknoir in the Hidden Land.
