In a Japan-exclusive Nintendo Direct, the first footage from Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon debuted. Further details about the game, including its Japanese release date, were revealed.

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon will be released in Japan on September 17, 2015, and will retail for ¥4700 (full retail price).

The player can pick their avatar Pokémon from any of the starter Pokémon, Pikachu or Riolu. The game features all 720 revealed Pokémon. The graphical style is strongly similar to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, the previous entry in the series.

The trailer focuses on many Legendary Pokémon, and depicts Rayquaza flying past Deoxys in space (reminiscent of the Delta Episode).
