A Krookodile will be distributed via local wireless at the 2018 Pokémon North America International Championships from July 6 through July 8 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. It is based on the one used by Ryota Otsubo, the champion of last year's Pokémon World Championships. It will be available to players of Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon, including those without an event badge.

Unlike the one used in Ryota Otsubo's team, it will not be distributed holding a Groundium Z. The Pokémon will have the Ability Intimidate and know the moves Earthquake, Taunt, Protect, and Crunch, as well as an Adamant Nature.
