More details about the upcoming Wii game, PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Great Adventure, have been announced by Nintendo of Japan. The game appears to feature many concepts from previous side games.

In this game, players will be able to take control of Pikachu and travel through a park of different environments, working with other Pokémon to complete various minigames. Eventually, other Pokémon will be befriended, and will help the player on their quest through the park. More friends will be made as the player completes gradually more challenging minigames.

With this game, concepts from past side games are being reintroduced. As in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, the player is a Pokémon rather than a human. Like Pokémon Snap, photography is also involved. It is also a part of the Hey You, Pikachu! series; all games in the series are side games featuring interaction with Pikachu.

This will be the third Pokémon-related Wii game to be released to retailers, the first being Pokemon Battle Revolution and the second Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though the latter does not just include Pokémon characters. All other games for the Wii based on Pokémon have been WiiWare games. The game is set to be released on December 5, 2009.
