The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo of America officially revealed the games Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver to fans outside of Japan today at the Pokémon World Championships.

The North American and European versions of the games are scheduled to be released this spring.

The official Pokémon website has also been updated to reflect this latest news. The site features the new Sugimori artwork of Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile, the games' starter Pokémon, as well as a trailer for the games.

Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver will take players back to the region Johto and their home in New Bark Town, where they will be given one of three starter Pokémon by Professor Elm to begin their journey.
