The world's most famous yellow electric rodent, Pikachu, mascot of the Pokemon franchise, will return to the annual Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade in balloon form thanks to The Pokemon Company International on Thursday, November 25th (Thanksgiving Day in the USA). The annual event will mark the tenth consecutive year that Pikachu will be visiting the annual holiday tradition in the second incarnation of the character, chasing a huge Poke Ball balloon on the parade route in Manhattan with it's cheeks lighting up. From 2001 through 2005, a "Flying Pikachu" balloon was displayed annualy in the event, and that balloon was retired at the "Party of the Decade" at Bryant Park in August of 2006.

The parade will be telecast on NBC (except in the Houston and Detroit markets) at 9 am in all of the time zones in the USA.
