This month's CoroCoro Magazine revealed that the first Wii U game to use the {{bp|Wii U}} GamePad's {{wp|near field communication}} reader/writer ("NFC" for short) will be the Wii U eShop exclusive {{bp|Pokémon Scramble U}}. The game will be made available to download on April 24, 2013 for ¥1800, with 6 standard figures and 1 special figure being available for purchase at Pokémon Center stores for ¥200 each. Like with the Skylanders figures, the Pokémon Scramble U will figures will contain a chip that means a Pokémon's information (such as their stats) will be stored on the figure itself as opposed to the game.
