Rayquaza has won the Japanese 15th anniversary poll, in which fans were asked to vote for their favorite version mascot. The Pokémon on the cover of Pokémon Emerald will be distributed at Pokémon Center stores and certain game stores from Feb. 10 to 27, 2012.

This Rayquaza is at level 100, holds a Life Orb, has a Classic Ribbon, and is in a Cherish Ball. Its moves are ExtremeSpeed, Hyper Beam, Dragon Pulse and V-create—a move previously only known by Victini. Its original Trainer is 「せんきょ」 Election and is male, and its Trainer ID number is 02102.

Second and third place were taken by Pikachu and Reshiram, respectively. Venusaur was the least popular, placing 15th.
