The official rotation for the 2017 Pokémon TCG Standard and Expanded formats has been announced. The new season will begin on July 11 but the rotation will not occur until September 1.
The following sets will be in the Standard format:

- Double Crisis
- Roaring Skies
- Ancient Origins
- BREAKthrough
- BREAKpoint
- Generations
- Fates Collide
- Steam Siege
- McDonald's Collection 2014
- McDonald's Collection 2015
- XY Trainer Kit: Latias & Latios
- XY Trainer Kit: Pikachu Libre & Suicune
- XY Black Star Promos XY36 and above
No sets will be removed from Expanded format. Therefore the following sets will be in the Expanded format:
