The tenth Pokémon movie, Dialga vs. Palkia vs. Darkrai, ranked first in the box office for the first three days of its theatrical run. At ¥1.13 billion (US$9.26 million) with 1,074,000 viewers, it performed significantly better than last year's Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy-- Opening weekend revenue is up 71.8% from ¥660 million (US$5.39 million) and viewership is up 75.7% from 611,272.
