The update brings compatibility for {{bp|Pokémon Sun and Moon}}. Players will be able to use Pokémon Bank to transfer Pokémon from {{bp|Pokémon X and Y}} and {{bp|Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}} to the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. Players can use Poké Transporter to transfer Pokémon from the Virtual Console versions of {{bp|Pokémon Red and Blue Versions|Pokémon Red, Blue,}} and {{bp|Pokémon Yellow Version|Yellow}} to Pokémon Sun and Moon. Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow will have at least three perfect IVs, and have their {{bp|Hidden Ability}}. Mewnium Z will be distributed to Pokémon Bank users. It will be available until Oct. 2, 2017. The Mewnium Z allows {{p|Mew}} to use the Z-Move {{m|Genesis Supernova}} when held.
